Stacie Vaughan grew up in Columbus, Indiana, with family roots still deep in Harlan, Kentucky. She was raised by a loving, tight-knit family that valued strong morals and unconditional love. There is also a strong thread and reverence for military service that is woven into her life. Family members from many generations have served in the armed forces.
Stacie and her husband, Andrew (Drew), were married in 2009 and are blessed with a blended family: Carson, Bailee, Nick, Nate, and a Great Dane rescue, Odin. Stacie and Drew live in Hope, a little town on the outskirts of Columbus, Indiana.
Stacie works as an Administrative Assistant for the Division of Science at IUPUC and loves the people and the students. She is constantly learning, too. Working in the field of science, she never knows what the day will hold: bugs, animal parts, chemistry, psychology. And she no longer has math anxiety!
When she’s not at work, Stacie can be found fishing at her dad’s farm pond, spending time in her garden, and shopping. Drew “tinkers” with cars and engines. He has always liked fixing things; taking them apart and trying to improve their function. The couple shares a love of the outdoors and enjoys sharing laughter with family and friends.
Life is a beautiful, crazy challenge that the Vaughan family chooses to meet together.
